DESCRIPTION:
Ist day: Rome-Naples-Pompeii-Sorrento. Depart Rome via climate controlled deluxe motor coach south past the Abbey of Montecassino, followed by a brief panoramic tour of Naples, and then on the way to Pompeii, stop at an ancient cameo & coral factory. Lunch in Pompeii followed by a visit to the excavations. Continue to Sorrento for dinner & overnight at hotel. 2nd day: Sorrento-Capri-Rome. Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed by ferryboat to Capri. Weather permitting, row boat visit to Blue Grotto. Next a minibus tour of Island with lunch at an Anacapri restaurant. Free time for shopping and sightseeing. Return to Marina Grande harbour to embark on ferryboat back to Sorrento, where journey back to Rome begins. Arrival in Rome at approximately 9:00 pm, traffic conditions permitting. |
