DESCRIPTION:
Your deluxe motor coach tour begins with a drive through Villa Borghese, Rome?s major city park, then across the Tiber river to Vatican City, the smallest independent State in the world. You will first visit the Vatican Museums, where you will be shown a fine collection of antiquities including the Sculpture Museum, the Tapestry Gallery, the Gallery of Maps and the world famous Sistine Chapel, decorated by Michelangelo. This tour will then proceed to St. Peter?s Basilica, where you will view the many and unique art treasures of the largest Roman catholic church in the world, including the famous Statue of the Pieta? by Michelangelo. Note: guided tours of St. Peter?s are not allowed if religious ceremonies are going on inside or outside the Basilica.
Dress Code for all religious buildings in Italy: no bare shoulders, short skirts or shorts allowed. Those persons not following this code may be denied admission.
