DESCRIPTION:
Departing from Rome via climate controlled deluxe motor coach north you will pass through three of the most beautiful Italian regions: Latium, Umbria & Tuscany. Expected arrival in Florence is about 11:30 am. You will first go to Piazzale Michaelangelo for a fantastic view of the entire city, then on to the famous Ponte Vecchio. Continue to the historical center for freetime, shopping and sightseeing. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will have a guided visit on foot to Santa Croce Square to see the church where Michaelangelo and Galileo are buried. Next a stop at a leather factory and a visit to the Museum of Accademia where you will see Michaelangelo?s famous Statue of David. The walk continues to the Piazza della Signoria, where you will visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori and its beautiful Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptisty & Giotto?s Bell Tower. At approximately 5:00 pm you will depart for Rome with arrival about 9:00 pm, traffic permitting.
